Meet the Retreat, Reflect, Renew Board

I'm so honored and humbled to be working with these kind and faith-filled women who are devoted to providing sacred places for women to grow and share their faith. I pray that this board is a celebration of our God-given gifts and a response to our Christian call to discover, nurture, and share our gifts for the glory of God.

Christine Jurisich, Retreat, Reflect, Renew Foundress

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.... For the body does not consist of one member but of many.
— 1 Corinthians 12:12, 14

Sarah Bresniker, Secretary

Sarah is currently a librarian with the City of Roseville and mother of two children. She was previously a school librarian at St. Rose School and a paralegal. She has been a board member and facilitator for the Ministry of Mothers Sharing and held leadership roles and worked with her daughter for a variety of local charities with National Charity League. She lives with her husband in Placer County, California and is a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish.

Sarah first learned the importance of taking time out of a busy life to focus on her relationship with God when she joined a Ministry of Mothers Sharing group as a young mother. She is proud to be able to encourage others to make this journey through the Retreat Reflect Renew ministry.

Darlene Carlson, Treasurer

Darlene currently manages their family tax and accounting firm alongside her husband, Tom.  Previously, Darlene taught fifth grade and middle school at Catholic schools for 15 years. She is a mother of three children, and enjoys being an active member of her parish as a faith formation teacher and as a docent at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. In the local community, Darlene is on the public school site council, and volunteers with her son’s Boy Scout troop as well as serving as co-president of the US Naval Academy Parent Club.

Both in business and education, Darlene believes in empowering people to recognize that they are capable of achieving their dreams through God’s grace, and helping them to find it through meditation, prayer, and each other.

Darlene is in formation to become a spiritual director.

Gabrielle Mogannam

Gabrielle has over 18 years of experience in account management, consulting, and market research. She has conducted various research studies ranging from concept and product tests, advertising, and trackers for several Fortune 500 companies. She is passionate about giving back to society, making a difference, and expressing her creativity. Gabrielle is involved with the National Charity League (a mother-daughter philanthropic organization), and is Vice President of the Roseville High School Parents’ Club. Nine years ago she went through an 8-week session with Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) and fell in love with the concept of reflection and faith-filled sharing with other women. She’s excited to work with our ministry to encourage community and to help nurture self-love and self-awareness. She lives near Sacramento with her husband of 21 years and her two teenage daughters.

Rita Peterson

Rita Peterson spent 35 years in educational publishing as a sales director and marketing manager, and field editor. She has long been an active member of her church, serving as the Small Groups Team Leader, Stephen Leader and Stephen Minister, Continuing Education Minister, Women’s Retreat Coordinator, and choir member. She also volunteers for the local Rocklin Friends of the Library and Placer Adult Literacy Service. She lives with her husband, Roger, in Rocklin, and has two adult children and three young grandchildren.

Rita’s previous fast-paced work life combined with her busy family life made her purposely seek out more reflective and meditative time with God. She desired more faith-sharing with others who were also looking to build their spiritual lives. In her search, she discovered Retreat Reflect Renew and has been a devoted follower of this ministry for several years. She wants to encourage others to be a part of this beautiful journey and to grow in their faith, life-balance, and self-awareness.
