Come Celebrate.

Friends listen. Friends encourage. Friends make one another feel like they're not alone in the journey of life. The Faith and Friendship Luncheon is a way to give yourself three hours to enjoy and celebrate this nourishing gift with a reflection on the year's retreat season themes, a delicious 3-course lunch at the Timbers at the Lodge at Sun City, beautiful raffle prizes and time to connect and share with great people.

Come be inspired.

Each year is a reflection and celebration of the past year's retreat themes with ministry foundress Christine Jurisich. You can expect an uplifting and nurturing afternoon. If you've never been to a retreat before, this is a great way to get a little sneak peak of what we're all about.

Come support an important cause.

The Faith & Friendship Luncheon is a fundraiser for Retreat, Reflect, Renew, a non-profit retreat ministry. In this busy, loud, and sometimes confusing world, there has to be a welcoming and loving place for people to feel support and encouragement and learn practical tools on how to grow closer to God's love. We especially want to offer these retreats to women who are in the middle of a stressful situation and feel they need a retreat but can't afford one. Please help us empower women who need a welcoming and loving place of spiritual support and inspiration.Your support of this ministry helps us keep our prices low, offer scholarships, and improve our marketing outreach. We know there are women who are longing for this kind of support and inspiration. We want to find them!

Proceeds go towards the ministry’s reaching out efforts and retreat scholarships. Listen to what past scholarship recipients have told us:

I would like to thank those who made a scholarship possible. I was just retiring and financially unsteady. The retreat was awe-inspiring and just what was needed as I begin this new phase of life.

After 25 years of marriage my husband left me and I was in a very bad place. I knew I needed to go on a retreat but I didn’t feel like I should be spending money on myself. A friend convinced me to ask for a scholarship and I’m so glad I did. It was so hard to ask - I’ve never had to ask before - but the retreat gave me the peace and hope that I desperately needed and I’m so thankful.

I had a rough patch in my life this year, both financially and spiritually. I really needed to go on a retreat but couldn’t afford to sign up. I was offered a scholarship but I really struggled with my pride before I was able to accept help. It is always easier to give than to receive. I remembered something a priest once told me that there are times in our lives when we have to allow others the experience of the gift of giving and not deny them that privilege. I feel when we receive a gift from others, then one day we can pay it forward for someone else who is in need.
