Online Retreat: What if you began to say YES!
October 7 - November 1, 2019
What you can expect from this four-week online retreat:
Everyday is a gift from God and an invitation to respond to God with a resounding “yes!” Do you feel as if there is a “yes” inside of you waiting to be unleashed? Or maybe a gentle nudge from within telling you there is more out there to learn about, grow into and embrace? In this four-week online retreat you will:
Be invited to slow down from the loudness of the world.
Become attentive to God’s voice within your body, mind, and soul.
Reflect on how you respond to signs from God. (Fear? Self-doubt? Excitement?) We’ll look to Mary’s “yes” for guidance on this.
Discover new discernment methods that will help you make choices in your life.
Cost is $40

Online Retreat Frequently Asked Questions
How does an online retreat work?
You'll receive an email reflection every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. Each email will have a reflection and chance to share with others in a supportive and encouraging environment. The retreat is self-paced and lasts four weeks.
Do you have to be tech-savvy?
We've had participants of all ages and tech abilities and most have found it to be easy to participate. If you feel comfortable opening an email and clicking on a link, you'll feel comfortable with the online retreat. We're always available for immediate help.
I'm Busy. How much time will it take?
You'll receive three emails a week and you can expect about 20 minutes of reflection and sharing time per email for this retreat. The beauty of an online retreat is that you can reflect and share online whenever it's convenient for you: in your pajamas at 5 AM, on your phone during your lunch hour, or with your iPad while lying on the couch late at night. You can spread it out and reflect a little each day or save it all up for a special time on the weekend. It's all about convenience. It’s facilitated but you can take it at your own pace and we keep it open for six weeks afterwards.

Meet your online retreat spiritual companions
Hi, I'm Christine Jurisich, the author of the online retreats. I'm the author of Retreat, Reflect, Renew: A Sacred Journal for A More Peaceful You and the foundress of this retreat ministry. I'm a retreat facilitator at Mercy Center Auburn and on the Sacred Journey staff at Mercy Center Burlingame. I've been in retreat ministry for the past fifteen years starting with the Sisters of St. Benedict's Ministry of Mothers Sharing (which is now Within Ministries). The Sisters at St. Paul's Monastery in Minnesota mentored me and ignited my passion for retreat ministry. Before that I was a TV reporter and anchor for ten years. I love these online retreats because they combine my education and experience in reporting, researching and writing with my love for empowering people to embrace their spiritual growth. When I’m in my home, writing these retreats, I picture writing to a friend who wants to hear this information the way I appreciate hearing it - with a loving, gentle voice that says “I hear you. Let’s walk through this together.”
Hi, I'm Darlene Carlson, and I facilitate the online retreats. My role is to walk the journey alongside you - offering affirmation and encouragement along the way and facilitating the conversation. I've led numerous faith sharing and prayer groups for the past twelve years, and have over 22 years experience as a catechist for the Sacramento Diocese and taught in Catholic schools for 15 years. I'm currently in formation to be a spiritual director with The Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. I love the spiritual connections created as we as Catholics and Protestants journey together on the online retreat. It’s a loving and grace-filled support for one another, and I appreciate how we meet each other right where we are as well as when we encourage one another to go deeper.
