Sacred Self,

Sacred Community

A 5-month, online offering designed to spark awareness of your sacred self and the gift of faith-filled community.

Starts Online January, 2026

Sacred Self,

Sacred Community

Discover your life as a special and unique call to wholeness.

This formative program begins with a focus on your sacred self. You will reflect on self-acceptance and God’s grace and consider ways to be true to your inner self when confronted with stress and worries. You will be invited to discover your whole self as you explore everyday spirituality and deepen your awareness of God in your daily life.

Experience community as a sacred place that helps you grow in faith.

Appreciate the impact of faith-filled friendships on your spiritual growth and overall well-being. Through the sharing of prayer and the practice of holy listening, you will find community as a place that respects each person’s story as sacred, celebrates one another’s differences, and empowers one another to grow into their true selves.

Christine Jurisich talks more about the purpose of this program.

Facilitator

Christine Jurisich is an author, retreat facilitator, spiritual director, and founder of the Retreat, Reflect, Renew Ministry. She has been working in spiritual growth ministry for the past twenty years and has been an adjunct faciltator at Mercy Auburn for the past ten years. She is a Mercy Associate and is completing her Master's in Theology with an emphasis on Mercy Spirituality.

Many of the themes in “Sacred Self, Sacred Community” come from a successful spiritual growth program, called “Ministry of Mothers Sharing” that is estimated to have touched at least a million women across the country. The program sparked Christine’s spiritual growth journey more than twenty years ago as a participant and then as a leader in the ministry for ten years. Retreat, Reflect, Renew now owns the rights to that life-changing content, and Christine has updated it as a new experience that responds to the needs of both women and men in today’s challenging times.

Register

Sacred Self, Sacred Community

Registration will open in September

The first Sacred Self, Sacred Community group was held in-person at Mercy Center Auburn. Here is what some of them had to say about the experience.

I was very nervous to sign up for Sacred Self, Sacred Community for two reasons. Would I be able to commit to a  five-month-long retreat and most important would I feel safe enough to allow myself to open up and be vulnerable in order to connect with others and become part of a Sacred Community? I’m so thankful that I decided to make the commitment to myself. It has personally been life-changing for me. - Brittany H., CA

Over the past five months: I’ve come to see more deeply in this journey the gift of taking time, space, to honor my sacred self. I learned to nurture this reality; while also allowing others to hold space for me in my authentic self as I heal and grow. - Laura O., CA

Before finding this program I was with a community that was kind of an empty, hollow feeling. I was certain there had to be more that a faith based community had to offer. Sacred Self, Sacred Community helped me with my awareness of Grace-filled moments and a deeр sense of fulfillment replaced longing and my experience of peace was now palpable. The sharing with others opened my access to Christ's Spirit in unimaginable ways. I am truly grateful I followed Spirit’s prompt to participate. - Geoff M, CA

The next group will begin in January, 2026.
