Four-Week Online Retreat Questions
How does a four-week online retreat work?
You will receive an email reflection every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning for 4 weeks. Each email will connect you to a written reflection to read, questions to journal, and poems, prayers, or music for meditation. You have the opportunity to post your comments and engage with other participants in a way that is similiar to a private blog. There is a facilitator commenting and guiding you through the experience.
Is the four-week online retreat live?
The majority of the online retreat is not live. It is in a written format which you can access at anytime that is convenient for you. There are two optional live zoom sharing sessions in the beginning and end of the four weeks. The purpose of the zoom sessions are to meet and introduce one another, learn about the online retreat format, and begin and end the retreat in prayer and sharing. The zoom sessions have no new content.
Do you have to be tech-savvy?
Not at all. We have had participants of all ages and tech abilities and most have found it to be easy to participate. We are always available to help.
How much time does it take?
Participants tell us they spend anywhere from 15-30 minutes on each reflection. You can go online whenever it is convenient for you: in your pajamas at 5 AM or on your phone during lunch hour. If you want to go at a slower pace, we keep it open for six weeks after the last day.
Do I have to share?
We encourage a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to experience this retreat. Some participants read and reflect quietly on their own and that is fine. Others enjoy sharing and interacting with the facilitator and other participants. This is your sacred time. Use it however you feel called to experience it.
Is this a women’s retreat?
We are open to anyone who wants to participate in our retreats. We do have men occasionally participate with rich insight but it is mostly women who attend.
Do you have scholarships?
