About
Retreat, Reflect, Renew
However You Come, We Welcome You
Wherever you find yourself on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to begin right where you are. Whether you attend a church or not, whether you pray regularly or are unsure how to pray, we welcome you.
This is the most important thing we want you to know about Retreat, Reflect, Renew.
Here are some additional grounding beliefs we want you to know about us:
We Honor the Sacred in You
We believe that each and every person who participates in one of our offerings is sacred and worthy of respect. We want you to be seen and heard in the way you want to be seen and heard.
Each person carries sacred wisdom shaped by their unique life experiences. Rather than telling you what to believe or how to practice your faith, we offer gentle guidance and companionship as you explore your relationship with God.
We are here as facilitators and companions offering interactive and embodied spiritual experiences that empower you to connect with the Sacred within you. That means that as we offer reflections on topics such as letting go, courage, and the sacred self, we also invite you to experience the concept through exercises such as guided breathing, a musical, or walking meditation, art or nature activity, and the practice of holy listening.
We Open Space for Your Experience of the Sacred
When we speak of the Sacred, we speak of the God of Love, Mystery, and Mercy—present within us, around us, and throughout creation.
Rooted in Scripture and the Christian contemplative tradition, we believe God's presence can be encountered in the ordinary moments of life, in our relationships, in the beauty of creation, and in the quiet movements of our hearts.
We also believe each and every one of us will experience the Sacred differently. We are here to open a space for you to notice and name this experience in a way that helps cultivate your relationship with God.
For a deeper exploration of this understanding of the Sacred, we invite you to read The Universal Christ by Richard Rohr and Awakening to the Sacred by Christine Jurisich.
The Hearts Behind the Ministry
Retreat, Reflect, Renew is guided by a Spirit-led leadership team and Board of Advisers who share a heart for creating welcoming spaces for reflection, spiritual growth, and community. We come from different Christian traditions, life experiences, and perspectives, but share a commitment to creating spaces where people can come as they are and listen for the presence of God in their lives.
