Springtime for the Soul

A Lenten Zoom Retreat on Patience

March 4, 2023
9AM -12PM Pacific | 12PM - 3:00PM Eastern

Begin your Lenten season with us.

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. -Heb 10:36

Spring is when we see new life in nature after the darkness of winter. Lent is when we are given forty days to prepare for new life in our heart and soul. All of this growth takes time and invites us to remember the slow work of God. If you are dealing with a stressful situation, it is not easy to be patient.

“Springtime for the Soul” is an invitation to find peace while embracing scripture’s call to, “patiently endure.” How can we open our hearts to allow seeds of faith to be planted in their own time? How can we surrender to allow God to do the work of cultivating those seeds to grow into new life? How can we be patient when we are wanting God to work on our own timelines?

If you compare yourself with others (I’ll never be as close to God as that person) or feel inadequate or restless (I just don’t pray the right way!) or frustrated with a relationship (I don’t know what to do!) join us and we will reflect on the peace that comes from surrendering and embracing the journey rather than focusing on a finish line.

For those of you who like to chose a word or intention for the year, there will be time to check-in with that word. For those of you who do not chose a word for the year, you will be invited to focus on an intention for your forty days. We will all pray with those intentions as we support one another in the journey towards finding patient endurance in the preparation for the celebration of new life.
